Hull Medical Society

Hull Medical Society generously supports Medly Blog with sponsorship and provides travel grants for our conference reporter programme. We are very grateful for their support.

Hull Medical Society was founded in 1889 and is a charitable organisation that seeks to promote the advancement of medical science and camaraderie. The society holds regular meetings in the East Riding Medical Education Centre at Hull Royal Infirmary: educational evenings with dinner, drinks, and social gathering. Previous guest speakers include Dr Paul Maliakal on the role of mechanical thrombectomy in the modern management of stroke, and Mr Ross Fisher on the art of creating engaging presentations. Recently, the society also hosted a Pecha Kucha night for students from Hull York Medical School to present their visions on the future of Medicine.

Hull Medical Society warmly invites students (medical, physician associate, biomedical science, nursing, ODP etc.) and junior doctors to attend their meetings. To keep up to date with Hull Medical Society meetings, you can follow them on twitter and find them on Facebook.
